WHAT IS MORPHEUS8?
Morpheus8 is a revolutionary new technology that allows us to target the layers of your skin to reduce the effects of aging. This treatment combines micro-needling with radiofrequency technology for deeper penetration.
The objective of this combination is to permeate tissue more deeply, to 4mm, to stimulate tissue remodeling that results in tighter, thicker, younger-looking skin.
KEY BENEFITS:
- Minimal downtime
- Targets multiple layers of the skin to address the effects of aging
- Treats a wide variety of skin conditions
- Additional conditions such as skin tone and skin texture can be addressed
- Safe on a wide range of skin types
MORPHEUS8 RF MICRONEEDLING VS. TRADITIONAL MICRONEEDLING
Microneedling is a popular skin rejuvenating treatment that creates micro-injuries across the surface of the skin. These micro-injuries elicit a healing response that includes the synthesis of collagen and elastin, two vital proteins that give the skin elasticity and tone. Microneedling creates microchannels in a matrix formation that, when filled with new collagen and elastin, support smoother, tighter skin.
Morpheus8 builds upon this technique by delivering radiofrequency energy into the microchannels in the dermis. Radiofrequency has a thermal action on adipose tissue that results in comprehensive remodeling across the skin’s foundational structure.
CAN MORPHEUS8 RF MICRONEEDLING BE COMBINED WITH OTHER TREATMENTS?
Yes. Morpheus8 can be combined with several different treatments as needed to address specific cosmetic concerns. This radiofrequency technique is often combined with FaceTite or NeckTite, additional advanced radiofrequency treatments that enhance the contours and youthfulness of the face.
MORPHEUS8 TREATMENT AREAS
This new device can be used on both the face and body, but the most popular areas to treat are the lower face and neck where acne, discoloration, and wrinkles exist. This technology stimulates the production of collagen to reduce wrinkles and allow the skin to appear young and plump. Morpheus8 can treat acne or acne scars, sun damage, lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores and even mild facial sagging on all skin tones.
AM I A CANDIDATE FOR MORPHEUS8 RF MICRO-NEEDLING?
Morpheus8 uses radiofrequency, a color-blind technology that is suitable for all skin types and tones. Treatment can address a wide range of age-related cosmetic concerns, including:
- Enlarged pores
- Mild jowls, sagging along the jawline
- Excess fat on the neck and face
- Deep creases on the face
- Sun damage
- Rough or irregular skin texture
- Acne scarring and other scars
- Stretch marks
RISKS OF MORPHEUS8
Energetic treatments such as Morpheus8 always carry some degree of risk. This is why it is important to obtain treatment from a licensed professional who has been sufficiently trained in the use of the radiofrequency device. The primary risks associated with Morpheus8 are low and include bleeding, allergic reaction to the local anesthetic, infection, skin blisters, bruising and swelling.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A MORPHEUS8 TREATMENT?
Before commencing with radiofrequency micro-needling, we apply a topical anesthetic to the skin. The tissue is usually desensitized in about 30 minutes. After this has been achieved, treatment is conducted using a small handheld applicator. The applicator tip has several ultra-fine needles that attach to radiofrequency through the handpiece connection to the device platform.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS FROM MORPHEUS8?
Morpheus8 has both an immediate and a progressive effect on the skin. Initially, the thermal energy deposited into the dermis heats collagen fibers into contraction. Then, over time, collagen and adipose tissue remodeling occur. While early effects may be seen within the first week after surgery, skin tightening and toning continue to improve for approximately three months.
DOES MORPHEUS8 RF MICRONEEDLING HURT?
It is important that our patients receive treatment in the most comfortable manner possible. Microneedling with radiofrequency can be mildly uncomfortable in some areas of the face and body and barely noticeable in others. The use of topical anesthetic provides sufficient comfort for patients to tolerate their treatment very well.
